River Lune Lancaster | Earth Environmental & Geotechnical
An electricity cable, currently embedded within a Victorian Aqueduct is planned to be diverted beneath the River Lune Lancaster.
A site investigation was therefore procured to investigate ground conditions along the route of the diverted cable. This required careful planning as proposed boreholes were located beneath electricity pylons and on third party land.
As part of the works we provided a topographic and river hydrographic survey and completed a comprehensive Health and Safety Plan, Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Drilling work proved difficult due to the presence of a thick sequence of river gravels and glacial clays with numerous large boulders.
