Earth Environmental & Geotechnical Ltd. is delighted to announce that Ashley Thorne has joined the team of our South Regional Office based in Reading.

Earth Environmental & Geotechnical Ltd. is pleased to introduce our new Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant, Ashley Thorne. Last week Ashley joined the team at our South Regional office in Reading. Ashley graduated from The University of Plymouth with BSc (Hons) in Geology and has gained, over the last 5 years, experience in an extensive range of geotechnical and geo-environmental skills. Ashley has a great interest in contaminated land and has worked on several projects throughout the West Midlands, Somerset, Hampshire and the South of England. Since graduating Ashley has completed Phase 1 preliminary risk assessments, Phase 2 Geo-environmental Assessments, Remediation Strategies, method statements construction phase plans and a wide range of intrusive ground investigation techniques. Plus projects conducting Vapour monitoring/sampling and gas/groundwater monitoring post investigation. Ashley has also been involved in training and supporting other graduate geotechnical engineers. He is also a Fellow of the Geological Society of London working towards chartership.

Ashley had a busy first week in the South of England conducting Geotechnical services. After the induction training, Ashley has been involved in site visits and ground investigations including cable drilling, and window sampling in North West London. This week it’s trial pits and more site investigations, so we hope the weather improves! The team are all delighted to welcome Ashley to the Earth Environmental and Geotechnical family and looking forward to working on some interesting new projects.
